PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION INFORMATION NOTICE

As the Data Controller, DEEM Dekorasyon Tasarım ve Pazarlama A.Ş. (“Company”) provides this clarification text in accordance with Article 10 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“Law”) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Fulfilling the Obligation of Disclosure, to inform customers and visitors about the collection, processing, and protection of their personal data.

Article 10 of the Law stipulates that during the collection of personal data, the data controller or an authorized representative must inform the data subject of:

Customer Membership Processes

Your personal data are collected electronically through our website and/or verbally or in writing during in-store transactions. The data collected include:

Marketing and Commercial Communication Processes

With your explicit consent, personal data are collected electronically through our website and/or verbally or in writing during physical shopping. This includes:

  • Identity Information: Name, Surname

  • Contact Information: Phone Number, Email Address

  • Marketing Information: Survey data, campaign participation details, website and mobile app interaction details, campaign and survey participation data, and responses to marketing communications.

These are processed for marketing, advertising/campaign/promotion activities, and marketing analysis.

2. Data Transfers and Purposes

Suppliers

Your identity and contact information may be shared with suppliers for procurement, after-sales support, and logistics operations, based on the legal grounds that:

  • Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract, and/or

  • Processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller.

Authorized Public Institutions and Authorities

Your identity, contact, and other relevant data may be shared with public institutions, law enforcement, prosecutors, or administrative authorities when required by law, based on the legal grounds of:

  • Compliance with legal obligations,

  • Establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, and/or

Affiliates and Subsidiaries

3. Your Rights under Article 11 of the Law

As per Article 11 of the Law, you have the right to:

a) Learn whether DEEM processes your personal data,
b) Request information regarding such processing,
c) Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used appropriately,
d) Learn the third parties to whom personal data are transferred domestically or abroad,
e) Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,
f) Request deletion or destruction of data under the Law,
g) Request notification of corrections, deletions, or destructions to third parties to whom data have been transferred,
h) Object to the occurrence of a result against you through the analysis of data exclusively by automated systems,
i) Request a copy of your personal data.

You may submit your requests to the Company in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Applications to Data Controllers.

4. Retention Periods of Personal Data

The Company retains personal data for the periods specified in relevant laws and regulations.

If no specific period is defined by law, data are stored for as long as necessary to fulfill processing purposes, based on Company practices and commercial customs. Once the purpose of processing ends, or the storage period expires, data are deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.

In cases of potential legal disputes, personal data may be retained solely for evidential purposes, limited to the applicable statute of limitations. Once such periods expire, the data are permanently deleted or anonymized.
